Tanza Kindness brings the very best of Tanzania to British tables, exactly as nature made it. Our cashews are grown in the country's southern heartland, home to some of the finest in the world: creamy, gently roasted and never rushed. From the same harvest, we make our small-batch nut butters: a velvety roasted cashew butter and a vanilla-infused cashew butter with fragrant Tanzanian Bourbon vanilla. Nothing added, nothing artificial: just exceptional food, pure and simple. Founded in York in 2025, we are finalists in five categories at this year's Quality Food & Drink Awards and have just been awarded three stars at Great Taste 2026, the highest accolade possible, for our Lightly Roasted Tanzanian Cashews.

But taste is only half the story. Tanza Kindness is the trading arm of Global Connect Charity (registered charity no. 1206062), and 100% of our profits fund healthcare, education and community development in Tanzania. In just three years, the charity has raised more than £100,000, delivering orthopaedic training for local clinicians, the country's first knee injury prevention seminar, medical equipment to treat knee injuries, support for a school in Rufiji and for survivors of domestic violence, and above-market prices for the farmers who grow our cashews.

It began with a gift. A young orthopaedic surgeon and his wife, newly married on a Zanzibar beach, were asked by a local doctor for help: there was no orthopaedic care on the island. What started as a promise to teach and train grew into a charity. Then, one day, a grateful friend pressed a simple bag of Tanzanian cashews into their hands, and the idea for Tanza Kindness was born. If food this good could carry kindness back to the people who grew it, why not build a business around it?
